Time was when people would have signed their rights across to someone else being a record company who would then look after it for them and the artist often times really didn’t have much involvement with their own rights. That has changed very much now, artists have been involved with their trademarks, their brand names, their fan base lists, their merchandise agreements, I mean, everything basically and that all involves another layer of legal protections…”
