LMFMusic – Developing Your Talent

From the Video…

Jason, Mitchell and Sebastian singing Jason:

“I mean LMF if they can do that for us that is really sick like obviously we want more people to be able to do that, to make it big because a lot of people don’t choose music, if they’re passionate I don’t think they chose it as a career option for fear that I will be a failure but if companies can help them make it more people will be able to follow that passion I think that is really good. There’s like tons of raw talent that just isn’t being harnessed. They’re playing really hard but they are just like oh no I can’t do that, you know, I might fail or whatever.”

Colin:

“One of the things to remember and it is really important for every artist, remember that this is business, if you are not serious about this as a business and if you are afraid to make money out of this and there are artist I know I have met a lot of artists who secretly are afraid of making money out of this. If they are embarrassed about making money seriously this isn’t your business to be honest, it is a hobby. But if you are serious about the business and you really want to have a shot at getting your music into the world you have to be prepared to work for it and part of that involves taking control, taking responsibility, listening to people, taking expert advice, taking advice from people other than just your family, people who are actually experienced in song writing, have seen songs, written songs, seen them performed. And all those components are what you need to get that advice brought into your career’s path and this is the sort of thing that LMF is doing, that is the process. And it is really important that you take this seriously as a career because you can spend a lot of time chasing shadows and unfortunately the business is full of people with a lot of promises, there are a lot or people who sit down and have lot of long lunches with A&R people all around the place but in the end the only person you can be sure of really you have got to bank on yourself and you will find good people who will work with you and have no interest in an alternative agenda who are going to work with you in an A& R function to accelerate your career, that is what you need.”

Zak:

“Whatever comes to my mind I just write it down and whatever I feel like I write down, suppose it’s from a girl or parties whatever. I listen to all types of music, the Beetles, Pink Floyd, Jimmy Hendrix, everyone. I like getting inspiration from each artist and see what they talk about and not only rap but other, all types of genres, inspires me to write. I started writing when I was twelve but I started taking this seriously when I was thirteen and back in Nigeria I just found someone to make beats and that is what encouraged me to rap and make something out of it. I can’t see myself being anything else than a rapper, any help I can get will be much appreciated. I respect the fact that LMFMusic gives artists a chance to describe themselves and express themselves through music as like everyone deserves one chance.”

Colin:

“One of the things that LMF is providing to its clients as it were is a guidance and help to get through what is otherwise potentially quite an aggravating experience. For a lot of people it is quite scary, it shouldn’t be but it is, being involved with someone in an organization that has got expertise that can help you through this process just makes life a lot easier, it takes a lot of the worry out of it and leaves you free hopefully to just make music.”

Zak:

“I am really passionate about it, music, the way you rhyme, talk about whatever you want.” Zak rapping.
